ABSOLUTELY NOT! Our rims are 100% ready to be useable right out of the box. No additional work needs to be done to them to make them useable! We guarantee 100% satisfaction RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX
Our rims are made right here in the U.S.A., in our California production facility. In case you didn’t know this, the original 1983- and 1984-vintage rims were made in Mexico.
(1) Texan Wire Wheels™ 30 Spoke wheels are more durable than the original. (2) Our products are made of solid steel. (3) The hub of an original 1983- or 1984-vintage wire wheel is made of pewter which is traditionally between 85 and 99% tin…a much softer, less durable and easily breakable material. If left untreated, pewter will oxide to a dull gray over time.
In essence, our product is a modified version of the original by changing the hub design and making the ’83s™ & ’84s™ wire wheel products durable and stable. So, with an original on one side of a car and a Texan Wire Wheels™ product on the other side of the car, there would be no visible difference between the two.

Currently, we do not carry wheel nuts, hub rings or valve stems on our website. They are easily purchased from almost any auto supply store. We do, however carry round and oval wheel washers on our website.
A typical wheel order is prepared in three steps:
1) Your wheels are pulled from our warehouse shelves.
2) Your wheels are wrapped in thick protective plastic, protective guards are placed on each of the each wheel, and thick cardboard layers are placed on the face of the wheels.
3) They are then packed into boxes for shipping and sent to you
Our wheels fit bolt patterns: 5on4.5, 5.5, and 5on4.75
Our lug nut is 5 lug unilug.
Try not to use water on the wheels. If you do use water, make sure you use an air compressor to blow the water off and out of the wheels, including small crevices. To polish your wheels, we recommend using a product called “Never Dull” which can be purchased from any auto parts store.
